COVID-19 may have forced school districts across the countries to close, as a result LEARN and several  districts in the region have crafted and gathered engaging learning opportunities.

Prior to the shutdown, the Regional Committee to Ensure the Continuity of Education met at the LEARN central office in Old Lyme from March 9-11. The committee – comprised of teachers, curriculum coaches, and specialists from LEARN, East Lyme, Guilford, Ledyard, Madison, and Old Saybrook - developed a library of learning activities and resources to be shared regionally.

These resources are intended to keep children’s minds engaged in meaningful activities during extended school closures. The activities are completely optional and intended for use at home. While materials were created with grade level standards and expectations in mind, families are welcome to choose the activities most appropriate to their children.

The activities are available here. All are downloadable and printable.

Also, please check the LEARN’s COVID-19 webpage for regular updates and information about the agency’s response to the virus.
