Biography: Tina Steele is another member of the LEARN community who we celebrated in 2021! Mrs. Steele’s reputation as an advocate for young children is well deserved. Any child or family experiencing a hardship or needing any bit of extra assistance finds support from Tina. She has such a love for children and puts great emphasis on each child’s success. It was that love that pulled her into education after she began her career in a very different field. With a natural ability to cherish the uniqueness of every student, Tina willingly gives her whole heart to help our youngest learners start their educational journey.

Tina’s educational journey began at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) where she studied business administration and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. After several years working as a project analyst and payroll specialist, Tina made a life-altering decision and committed herself to young children.

In addition to working on behalf of the families in southeastern Connecticut, Tina’s three sons, husband, and extended family bring her great joy. She manages to carve out time to spend in her yard where her passion for building stonewalls and landscaping is apparent. Many refer to her as “one of the best".
